Basic Sauces, Basic Flavors’ predecessor, started off as a business venture class project in the Asian Institute of Management (AIM). The project’s main purpose was to manufacture and market a particular product, the “Crunchy Bawang” (“bawang”, translated into English is garlic). Given the brand name Earth Flavors, Crunchy Bawang was conceptualized, studied and manufactured. Initially marketed in selected outlets in Metro Manila, Crunchy Bawang was a big hit! In no time at all, it exceeded projected demand. The project itself was one of the top business ventures in its batch in AIM. Due to its potential, the main principals decided to go full time with the company.
